School Bus Timetables
After you get your travel pass, please check that the stopping details are correct.
Bus and taxi drivers can only pick up and drop off students at the locations listed on the travel passes and at the stops shown on the timetables. Make sure everything is accurate to ensure a smooth journey.
Important rules for School Transport
To make sure everyone gets to and from school safely, we have a set of rules that everyone needs to follow.
These rules are part of the Home to School/Collage Transport Code of Conduct.
What if the details on the Bus pass are wrong?
If you find any incorrect details on the bus pass, please fill out the contact form. We will work to arrange a replacement for you as quickly as possible.
Do Learners Need to Carry Their Pass Everyday?
Yes it is important for all learners to carry their bus pass and show it to the driver each time they get on the bus. Make sure the pass is kept safe and in good condition.
Starting from September 2025, to ensure that only eligible learners can travel, bus operators will follow a strict "No pass, No travel" rule. We recommend that all pass holders take a photo of their pass with their phone as a backup in case the original pass is lost. This photo can serve as temporary proof for up to three days while you obtain a replacement pass.
When and Where can the Travel Pass be used?
The travel pass can only be used for the school transport that picks up and drops off pupils at their designated bus stop or pickup point. The bus operator or driver cannot allow drops at any other address.
Misusing the travel pass or using it fraudulently is taken very seriously and can lead to the pass being taken away. Here are some reasons your pass might be confiscated:
- If someone other than the named holder uses the pass
- If you try to use the pass for journeys that are not allowed
- if the travel pass is damaged or altered
- if you use a pass that has expired and is no longer valid.
- Learners who have applied for free transport and have been refused will be notified of the appeals process as part of the written notice of refusal.
How is My Neighbour Getting Transport?
We can't comment on individual circumstances, but here are some possible reasons why they might be getting transport:
- Road Safety (Statutory Walking Distance ONLY): the learner’s situation may fall under this criterion, which provides transport where there is no available walking route to school.
- Medical Condition (Statutory Walking Distance ONLY): the learner might meet the criteria for transport due to a medical condition that prevents them from walking the defined ‘statutory distance’.
- Residency from More than One Address: the learners family situation might qualify them for transport, as they live at more than one address but attend same school.
- Changing Residence during GCSE Years: if the learner moves residency during their GCSE years (after the October half term break of their first year of GCSE studies – year 10), this might qualify them for transport assistance.
- Additional Learning Needs (ALN): the learner might be receiving ALN services and thus are entitled to transport.
- Looked After Child: the learner might be eligible for transport under this criterion.
