Event safety advisory group

The Carmarthenshire event safety advisory group offers advice to those organising medium to large events in the County. With representatives from the County Council (highways/traffic management, environmental health, licensing, marketing), Dyfed Powys Police, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Welsh Ambulance Service and the South Wales Trunk Road Agency, organisers are able to gain at an early stage of planning the thoughts and experience of the major public sector organisations required to successfully deliver an event.

Although the pandemic and associated legislation has led to the cancellation and/or postponement of so many events (small community Xmas fayres to international renowned festivals), we appreciate that many are making plans for 2024 and beyond, exploring alternative and thinking outside the usual event “box” for solutions
