Cwmaman
Part of the Ten Towns initiative
Cwmaman is well placed to maximise its proximity and access to key conurbations within Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot and Swansea. Its investment in capital infrastructure has seen a growth in businesses in a number of industrial estates who are able to take advantage of the area’s transport routes.
With a plethora of public sector assets Cwmaman has realised its growth potential through enterprise development – supporting the community through the Makerspace and developing facilities for an embryonic activity-based tourism.
A clear plan for activity-based tourism has supported growth in the area’s share of the visitor economy.
Through working alongside a number of providers, Cwmaman aims to maximise its proximity to the Brecon Beacons National Park and being part of the Amman Valley with its range of walks and trails.
Our priorities
Our Economic Growth Priorities focus on achieving sustainable local economic growth which is shared by all whilst at the same time protecting, maintaining and celebrating our high-quality natural environment. To deliver the plan we set out the following priorities which will be delivered through specific projects.
- Supporting business resilience and future growth
- Business and community enterprise development
- People and Skills – enabling people to access work and develop skills to achieve their potential
