Carmarthenshire's Primary Towns
Carmarthenshire is comprised of three primary towns, Carmarthen, Llanelli and Ammanford.
Carmarthen is the county town of Carmarthenshire. The historic market town has its landmark castle, which dates back to the 12th century as well as other buildings of interest, such as St Mary’s Church, St David’s Church, Carmarthen Town Hall, and Carmarthen Library.
Llanelli is the largest town in Carmarthenshire, and a major port and industrial centre. It has a vibrant waterfront, with shops, cafes, restaurants, and a marina.
Ammanford has a rich history and culture. It is located in the Amman Valley, which is known for its coal mining and industrial heritage.
