In response to significant consultation and a feasibility study, a new children’s play area has been developed on the recreational space that surrounds Llwynhendy Library. Various play items have been installed, footpaths created, and general landscaping of the area will be undertaken. 

The project had considerable community support with young people volunteering to plant over 100 trees.
