When Richard applied for the Carmarthenshire Business Bursary, he had a clear goal: to launch a mobile bicycle repair service offering convenient, doorstep repairs to customers across the county.
The bursary provided the essential tools and equipment needed to get the business off the ground quickly and professionally. The mobile service soon took off, with customers appreciating the flexibility and prompt, reliable service.
As demand continued to grow, the business reached an exciting new milestone this year by securing its first dedicated workshop premises Drefach. The new base allows for more complex repairs, improved workspace, and greater capacity, while the mobile van continues to serve communities countywide.
In Their Own Words
“The Bursary was a real turning point for me. It gave me the financial support and confidence to launch my mobile repair service, and it’s played a huge part in helping me reach the stage where I could open my own workshop. I’m incredibly grateful for the help—it’s made this whole journey possible.”
