Preparation and Publication of Statutory Financial Accounts for 2024-25 – Carmarthenshire County Council, Burry Port Harbour, Swansea Bay City Deal and South West Wales Corporate Joint Committee

Regulation 10(1) of the Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014 (as amended) requires that Responsible Financial Officer of Carmarthenshire County Council sign and date the statement of accounts, and certify that it presents a true and fair view of the financial position of the body at the end of the year to which it relates and of that body's income and expenditure for that year. The Regulations required that this be completed by 31 May 2025. The Responsible Financial Officer has not signed and certified the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2025.

Pending an expected update to regulations, the Authority aims to complete and publish draft accounts in line with the interim Welsh Government suggested timetable of 30 June 2025, or as soon thereafter as practicable.
