Reference: HTTR-1899
NOTICE is hereby given that Carmarthenshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the C3201 Llanglydwen (Hebron to Cefnpant) from a point 400 metres south of its junction with the C3208 (Hebron to Blaenwaun) for a distance of 100m in a southerly direction.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.
The Alternative Route for southbound traffic traveling along the C3201 Llanglydwen will be to proceed in a general northerly direction along the C3201 Llanglydwen to its junction with the C3208 Llanglydwen. At the junction turn right and continue in an easterly direction along the C3208 Llanglydwen, for approximately 3.5 kilometres, to its junction with the C3222 Llanboidy. At the junction, turn right and continue in a south-westerly direction along the C3222 Llanboidy, passing properties known as Sarnau and Cartref Clyd, to its junction with the C3201 Llanglydwen. At the junction, turn right and continue in a north-westerly direction along the C3201 Llanglydwen, passing through Cefn-y-pant to return to a point south of the closure. Vice versa for northbound traffic.
The proposed closure is necessary to ensure public safety while a retaining wall alongside the highway is constructed.
It is intended that the works will commence on Monday the 21st July 2025 and continue for a period of six weeks until Sunday the 31st August 2025.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
