The County Of Carmarthenshire (Heol Hen, Five Roads) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that length of the Unclassified C2209 Road known as Heol Hen, Five Roads from a point 562 metres North-West of its junction with the B4309 for a distance of 814 metres in a general North-Easterly direction.

Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.

The Alternative Route for North bound diverted traffic is to travel in a South Easterly direction along the C2009 to its junction with the B4309. At the junction turn left onto the B4309 and proceed in a general North Easterly direction passing Brondani cottage then proceeding North Westerly to its junction with the C2209.  At the junction turn left onto the C2209 and proceed in a South Westerly direction passing the property Caerbigyn Farm to return to a point North of the closure.  Vice Versa for South bound diverted traffic. 

The closure is necessary to ensure public safety whilst Openreach carry out ducting works from Monday 21st July 2025 to Saturday 26th July 2025. The proposed Order will continue in force until works by Openreach have been completed.

Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
