The County Of Carmarthenshire (Maes Y Coed, Llanelli) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that length of Road known as Maes y Coed, Llanelli from its junction to the A484 Sandy Road for a distance of 50 metres in a north easterly direction.

Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.

The Alternative Route for north east bound traffic from a point south west of the closure, will be to proceed in a north westerly direction along the A484 Sandy Road, to the mini roundabout. At the mini roundabout, take the 2nd exit and continue in a north easterly direction along Denham Avenue, to its junction with Iscoed. At the junction, turn right and continue in a south easterly direction along Iscoed, to its junction with Maes Y Coed. At the junction, turn right and continue in a south westerly direction along Maes Y Coed to return to a point north east of the closure. Vice versa for south west bound traffic. 

The Closure is necessary to ensure public safety. The proposed Order will continue in force until works to the A484 Sandy Road Junction by Carmarthenshire County Council have been carried out. It is intended that the works will commence on Monday 7th July 2025 until Monday 1st September 2025. 

Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
