The County Of Carmarthenshire (Public Footpath At The Level Crossing On The Old Llansteffan Road, Johnstown) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrian Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the length of pedestrian crossing, at the level crossing on the Old Llansteffan Road, Johnstown.
The Alternative Route for southbound pedestrians will be to proceed in a general westelry direction for a distance of approximately 158 metres, passing Enterprise Car and Van Hire to the junction of the Johnstown Slip Road. Turn right at the junction and right again at the traffic lights to join the B4312 Llansteffan Road. Proceed in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 180 metres then turn left at the junction of the Old Llansteffan Road and proceed in a northerly direction to return to a point south of the closure.
Vice versa for northbound pedestrians.
The Order will continue in force until works to extend the footpath, by Network Rail have been completed.
It is intended that the works will commence on the 2nd January 2025, for a period of six months.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding six months.
