The County Of Carmarthenshire (Special Events) (Carmarthen Mayors Race 2025) (Temporary Traffic Management) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council intend to make an Order to facilitate the holding of the Carmarthen Mayors Race (‘the Event’). The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from causing or permitting any vehicle including any unauthorised bicycles to proceed along the following lengths of road:
- Chapel Street
- Woods Row
- Little Water Street
- Kings Street from its junction with St Peter’s Street
- Queen Street to its junction with Spilman Street
Between the hours of 09:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Monday the 5th of May 2025,
and:
- Blue Street, Carmarthen from the Blue Street Roundabout to Lammas Street to its junction with Morfa Lane
- Morley Street and Market Way from their junction with St Catherine Street to Mansel Street, to Lammas Street
Between the hours of 09:30 a.m. and 13:00 p.m. on Monday the 5th of May 2025.
The Order is necessary to enable the ‘Carmarthen Mayors Race’ to take place.
The Order will not have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to premises situated on or adjacent to any of the roads to which the order relates or to any premises only accessible to pedestrians from such road. The Order will also contain exemptions for any motor vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes or for statutory undertakers attending an emergency, for motor vehicles used in connection with the event or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
The Order comes into effect on Monday the 5th of May 2025 and will continue in force for the periods specified above.
