The County Of Carmarthenshire (Unclassified Airfield Road Pembrey) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that length of unclassified road known as Airfield Road, Pembrey from its junction with the Principal Road A484 for a distance of approximately 133 metres in a north westerly direction.

Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.

The Alternative Route for north west bound traffic will be to proceed in a general southerly direction along the Principal Road A484, to the junction with an Unclassified Road at Penybedd, being the first junction on the right hand side. Turn right at the junction and proceed in a westerly direction along the unclassified road to its junction with Penybedd Lane. At the junction, turn right and continue in a general north easterly direction to it’s junction with the unclassified Airfield Road. At the junction turn right again and travel in a general south easterly direction along to Airfield road to return to a point west of the closure. 
Vice versa for the eastbound diverted traffic.

The proposed Order will continue in force until Openreach, have carried out cabling works.

It is intended that the works commence on Monday the 28th of July 2025, for a period of 18 days.

Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
