The County Of Carmarthenshire (Unclassified Road – Ynys Las, Cefncaeau Sa14 9bt) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Carmarthenshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the Unclassified Road known as Ynys Las, Cefncaeau from its junction with Maesarddafen Road, Cefncaeau for a distance of 30 metres in a South-Easterly direction. 

Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.

The Alternative Route for south-eastbound traffic is to travel in a North-Easterly direction along Maesarddafen Road to its junction with Bro Wen.  At the junction turn right on to Bro Wen and proceed in a South-Easterly direction to its junction with Heol Hen.  At the junction turn right onto Heol Hen and proceed in a South-Westerly direction to its junction with Ynys Las.  At the junction turn right onto Ynys Las to a point South-East of the closure.
Vice versa for North-West bound traffic. 

The proposed Order will continue in force until the installation of two new entrances from the highway to the adjacent care home has been completed.

It is intended that the works will commence on Monday the 19th May 2025 and continue until Sunday the 1st June 2025.

Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
