Information for Broadband Suppliers and Mobile Network Operators

Bringing better connectivity to Carmarthenshire County is a priority for Carmarthenshire County Council.

Residents of Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea will benefit from the Swansea Bay City Deal Digital programme, which covers all parts of Swansea Bay City.

As part of the digital programme, the following priorities will be addressed:

• To ensure that the region's cities, towns, and business parks have access to full-fibre internet
• Prepare the region for 5G and the internet of things, which includes smart homes, smart manufacturing, smart agriculture, virtual reality, and wearable technology to support healthcare, assisted living, and other sectors.

A Digital Infrastructure Relationship Manager and a Broadband Engagement Officer are in place in Carmarthenshire to provide support to industry and the public.
