Property Works Framework

Carmarthenshire County Council has now awarded the Property Works Framework and all contractors who tendered have been notified of the outcome. The Framework will commence on 1st November 2024 until 31st October 2027 with an option to extend for a further year. This arrangement will replace the current Minor Works Framework.

The Framework includes a range of value-banded and geographical lots for property works on housing and non-housing properties ranging from responsive works, small building works, planned works, voids, adaptations, electrical installation and repairs, maintenance of domestic PV (Solar) Systems, roofing, flooring, fencing and trade-specific lots (e.g. painting and decorating, windows and doors, property cleaning and clearance, and supply and installation of sheds).

A total of 75 Contractors tendered, with many applying for multiple lots. 50 Contractors have been successful in gaining a place on the new Framework with 47 based in West Wales (94%) of which 33 are Carmarthenshire based (66%). A further 2 are based in Bridgend (4%) with 1 headquartered in Hereford (1%) but with a Carmarthen office.

Informal feedback sessions are being offered to contractors, to provide general feedback to those that were unsuccessful to assist with any potential future tendering opportunities and to prepare those that were successful to prepare for the new working arrangements from 1st November 2024.
