Throughout August, Waste Officers will be available at locations throughout Carmarthenshire to answer your questions about the new Separated Recycling service, which will be introduced to around one third of homes from mid-late autumn 2026.
They can also provide information for residents who will be staying on the current Mixed Recycling (blue bags) service for now.

Future changes to recycling collections in parts of Carmarthenshire
In response to significant consultation and a feasibility study, a new children’s play area has been developed on the recreational space that surrounds Llwynhendy Library, in Llanelli. Various play items have been installed, footpaths created, and general landscaping of the area will be undertaken.
The project had considerable community support with young people volunteering to plant over 100 trees.
