Direct Food Support Fund – Capital Grant

The objective of the fund is to support initiatives that tackle food poverty within Carmarthenshire. 

The fund is open for applications from 21 November 2024 with a deadline for submission of 12pm on 09 December 2024. 

*** Due to the impact of Storm Darragh, we have extended the deadline to this fund to 5pm on the 11th December 2024.***

Applications will then be assessed and if successful, projects will be able to commence from the beginning of January 2025.  You will need to complete your project and fully claim by the 31 March 2025.  Organisations can apply for a maximum of £5,000 and a minimum of £1,000 up to 100% of total project costs. 

Examples of eligible purchases include:

• Kitchen Furniture e.g. - Kitchen Cabinets, Units, Worktops
• Fridges and freezers
• Cooking equipment e.g. - Cookers, Slow Cookers
• Kitchen equipment e.g. - Cutlery, utensils
• Storage for dried/canned goods
• Gardening/Growing equipment and tools
