Transitional Arrangements

Implementation Date: 1 September 2027

Pupils attending a school before September 2027

Children who are already attending a school before 1 September 2027 will not be affected by any catchment area changes and will continue at the school. There is no requirement to move school.

Transport arrangements

If your child is receiving school transport before 1 September 2027, this support will continue in line with the school transport arrangements.

Pupils starting or moving school from 1st September 2027

As from the 1^{st of} September 2027 the New Catchment Areas will be applied to the School Admission and Transport policies respectively.

*Pupils starting Part-time Nursery and Full-Time primary school in the Spring, Summer and Autumn term of 2027 will be considered under the current catchment areas as applications are processed as one group regardless of the term they start.

Sibling Arrangements

The admissions policy gives priority to siblings when a year group is oversubscribed as detailed in the oversubscription criteria.

Admissions Appeals

Pupils who are not allocated a place at their preferred school have the right to appeal the decision before an independent admissions appeals panel. All appeals will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and the independent panel has the authority to award places where appropriate.

Move of Address After September 2027

Families who move into a former catchment area of a school after the implementation date, even if the pupil or any sibling already attends the school, will only be considered under the new catchment area for admissions and transport arrangements.
