Pembrey Horse Box Parking Permit

A parking permit scheme has been introduced for Factory Road in Pembrey to facilitate equestrians by creating space for horse box parking. These restrictions apply on ALL bank holidays. The permit does not guarantee a parking space but helps to manage and prioritise parking for equestrians only in the appropriate bay and if space is available.
A Horse Box Parking Permit is issued for motor vehicles drawing or attached to a horse box, or a medium or large goods vehicle manufactured or converted specifically for the purpose of transporting a horse or horses.
Permits are valid for 12 months. You will NOT receive a renewal reminder.
This permission only applies during the times signposted in each bay, providing you have a valid permit clearly on display. Waiting is limited to 5 hours with no return within 5 hours.
A permit does not allow you to :
Park on Yellow lines during their time of operation
In Pembrey Country Park
In Rotary Way Pay and Display car Park
Does not apply to the NRW Pembrey Forest Site.
We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw permits for users found to be abusing the scheme.
Permits will be sent in the post. Please allow ten working days for delivery and do not park in the permit parking area until it has arrived.

- Maximum 2 vehicles per permit
- £20 per permit
- Maximum of 2 permits per household
The permit is issued for a specific vehicle. If you have a temporary change of vehicle for a period not more than one week, you must obtain our prior approval for use of the permit by emailing parking@carmarthenshire.gov.uk
If you lose, damage or destroy your permit or change your vehicle and require a new permit, you will need to make a fresh application. Any replacement permits issued will be valid for 12 months from its issue date. In the case of a change of vehicle, you will need to surrender your current permit.
The charge is to cover the administration cost involved with producing a new permit.

If you have a temporary change of vehicle (for a period of not more than 2 weeks) you will need prior authorisation from us to use your permit.
If you require more than 2 weeks you will need to contact the Parking Services Department for approval.

If you change your vehicle and require a new permit, you will need to make a new application. Any replacement permit issued will be valid for 12 months from its issue date. In the case of changing of your vehicle you will need to surrender your current permit.
