Starting 1 June 2025, it will be illegal for businesses to sell or supply single-use (disposable) vapes.
Always source products from legitimate supplies and request written confirmation of orders for traceability. If a business is unsure whether a particular product can be legally sold, there is a register on the MHRA’s website which can be used to verify - ECIG Search Page | MHRA
With regard to age restriction, traders must undertake identity checks where there is any doubt as to whether the customer is 18 or not. If a sale is refused then this should be noted in a refusal log. Other tools which can assist retailers are till prompts and having a Challenge 21 or 25 policy.
If a retailer requires further advice then they can contact Trading Standards via tradingstandards@carmarthenshire.gov.uk and also refer to Tobacco and vapes | Business Companion
