The County Of Carmarthenshire (C2162 Cwmifor, Llandeilo) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Carmarthenshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the C2162 Cwmifor, Llandeilo from a point 162m northwest of its junction with the A40 Llandeilo for a distance of 619 metres in a generally north easterly direction.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.
The Alternative Route for south west bound traffic from a point north east of the closure, will be to proceed in a north easterly direction along the C2162 Cwmifor, to its junction with the U4489 Manordeilo. At the junction, turn right and continue in a south easterly direction along the U4489 Manordeilo, to its junction with the A40 Manordeilo. At the junction, turn right and continue in a south westerly direction along the A40 Manordeilo, to its junction with the C2162 Cwmifor. At the junction, turn right and continue in a north westerly direction along the C2162 Cwmifor to return to a point south west of the closure. Vice versa for north east bound traffic.
The proposed closure is necessary to ensure public safety while works are carried out on behalf of Dwr Cymru Welsh Water to conduct water mains renewal work.
It is intended that the works will commence on Friday 18 July 2025 and continue for a period of twelve weeks until Friday 10 October.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
