Community Review - Llanboidy and Whitland Community Council Areas

Carmarthenshire County Council is undertaking a Community Review of the Llanboidy and Whitland Community Council areas, in particular the point of boundary where the Whitland Abbey site is situated.

The first stage of the review is to ask all interested parties to consider the current community boundaries and submit their views on any changes required to create communities that provide for effective and convenient local government.

All submissions will then be considered, and the Council will publish a Draft Proposal Report and will hold a consultation on those proposals. All submissions will then be considered, and the Final Recommendations will be submitted to the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales (LGBCW).

If the LGBCW think fit, they will propose that Welsh Government Ministers make an Order to give effect to the recommendations either as submitted or with modifications.

The initial consultation period opens on Monday 16 December, 2024 and closes on Monday 27 January, 2025.
