Carmarthen Market is a must-see place which has been around for more than 800 years. Although it dates back to Roman times, it has been cleverly updated to become a Mecca for food-lovers, by offering some of the best local produce in Wales.
The Market is sited in a modern, airy hall which houses a range of stalls selling everything from arts and crafts, antique and modern jewellery to locally produced meats, fruit and veg, cheeses and cakes.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the popular outdoor market brings in crowds with its interesting mix of goods and on the 1st Friday of the month the Farmer's Market visits the town.
The hustle and bustle and friendly banter between traders and shoppers, makes for a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere - why not pop in and see?
