Hygiene and nappy waste
Our hygiene & nappy waste collections, include items used to dispose of human urine, faeces and other bodily secretions or excretions as follows. Wherever possible, any items should be emptied, before being bagged:
- Disposable bed pans & liners, incontinence pads, bed and chair pads
- Colostomy/stoma bags, catheter bags and urine bottles
- Plastic gloves & disposable aprons
- Nappies including any bags & wipes
It does not include sanitary product waste or pet waste, this should be double bagged and put in your black bags.
There is no charge for this service, once we've received your application your purple bags will be delivered within 10 working days. We will contact you to let you know your collection day. Collections are fortnightly and may be on a different day to your refuse/recycling collection.
