Alcohol and Other Drugs

Page updated on: 06/09/2024

Substance use is a complex problem that is influenced by a number of factors which are not always visible for people to see.

If you or family member are impacted by alcohol and other drugs or other harmful behaviour such as gambling or addictive behaviours.

The Substance Use and Recovery Team can help and support you if you are:

  • a permanent resident in Carmarthenshire
  • registered homeless in Carmarthenshire
  • an individual over the age of 18, who is worried about use of alcohol and other drugs
  • providing a caring role for someone using substances to problematic levels.

We can offer an assessment of your needs and work with you taking into consideration your situation and what is important to you.

We will help you to use your own strengths to resolve problems and promote independence.

Sometimes we work with other partnership agencies to help get you the support that you need.

To access support you can make an online referral to the Substance Use and Recovery Team.
