Active Travel schemes 22-23
The below active travel schemes have been designed to help connect local residents with key trip attractors. The importance of providing high quality infrastructure in the correct location is at the forefront of our aspirations to encourage higher levels of active travel for day-to-day journeys along with all of the associated benefits.
We are constantly seeking ways in which we can improve our active travel network and your feedback, either directly to us or via the Active Travel consultation page will help us to develop and deliver new active travel routes. The Active Travel Network Map will help to shape the future of our walking and cycling infrastructure across the County.
The projects listed below for 2022/23 have been developed following direct feedback from the residents of Carmarthenshire along with input from key stakeholders. They help to maintain our status as the Cycling Hub and Wales and fulfil our duties as part of the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013. All schemes have been funded by the Welsh Government via the Active Travel fund.
