Carmarthenshire County Council Order Under Section 21 Of The Town Police Clauses Act 1847 For The Prevention Of Obstruction
HTTR-1966
On Sunday 9h November 2025, for the Carmarthen Remembrance Service, the following
streets will be thronged and liable for obstruction for their entire length
Guildhall Square, Hall Street, Nott Square, Queen Street, King Street, between the hours
of 08:45 hours and 12:15 hours
Church Street, between the hours of 10:30 am – 12:00 ( from its junction with Spillman Street to its junction with Priory Street).
Priory Street between the hours of 10:30 – 11:30 from its junction with St Peters Street
to its junction with Spilman Street.
The CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL pursuant to powers conferred by Section
21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 DOES HEREBY ORDER AND DIRECT that for
the purpose of preventing obstruction in the said streets, Guildhall Square, Hall Street,
Nott Square, King Street, St Peters Street, Church Street, Queen Street, Priory Street,
Carmarthen shall be closed to all vehicular traffic including pedal cycles between the
hours indicated above on Sunday 9th November 2025 subject to emergency service
vehicles being allowed access to the street without delay in the event of an emergency.
There is no alternative route for St. Peters Street, King Street, Queen Street, Guildhall
Square, Hall Street, and Nott Square but access will be maintained for emergency
services
The alternative route for Southwest bound traffic (for Priory Street) will be via Old Oak
Lane, Richmond Terrace, Francis Terrace, St Catherine Street, Morfa Lane, A4242,
Coracle Way, Castle Hill and Spilman Street. Vice Versa for North Eastbound traffic.
