Carmarthenshire County Council Order Under Section 21 Of The Town Police Clauses Act 1847 For The Prevention Of Obstruction

Whereas on Monday 23rd June 2025 from 09:00 hours to 20:00 hours, part of the road known as Guildhall Square, Carmarthen will be thronged and liable to be obstructed extending from outside the front of the former Guildhall building in a westerly direction to outside the building of Barclays Bank Plc for the purpose of the erection of a 4m high inflatable Wales football shirt. 

The CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL pursuant to powers conferred by Section 21 of the Town  Police Clauses Act 1847 DOES HEREBY ORDER AND DIRECT that for the purpose of preventing obstruction in the said streets, Guildhall Square, Carmarthen on Monday 23rd June 2025 from 09:00 hours to 20:00 hours shall be closed to all vehicular traffic including pedal cycles, subject to emergency service vehicles being allowed access to the street without delay in the event of an emergency.
