Carmarthenshire County Council Order Under Section 21 Of The Town Police Clauses Act 1847 For The Prevention Of Obstruction
Reference: HTTR-2019
On Saturday 28th February 2026, the following streets will be thronged and liable
to be obstructed for the Carmarthen “Gŵyl y Daffodil” parade.
1. Between the hours of 08:00 to 16:00:
a) Guildhall Square, Carmarthen
2. Between the hours of 10:45 to 11:30:
a) King Street, Carmarthen, from its entrance to St Peter’s Street car park;
Queen Street; Nott Square; Hall Street; Little Bridge Street; Bridge Street
and Quay Street
The alternative route for south-west bound traffic will be to proceed along Church
Street and Spillman Street.
The CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL pursuant to powers conferred by
section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 DOES HEREBY ORDER AND
DIRECT that for the purpose of preventing obstruction on the above mentioned
roads, shall be closed to all vehicular traffic including pedal cycles between the
hours indicated above on Saturday 28th February 2026 subject to emergency
service vehicles being allowed access to the street without delay in the event of an
emergency.
