Construction of a new road hump at heol nant, llannon, llanelli
File Reference: HMD/HTTR-1955
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Carmarthenshire County Council (‘the Council’), in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (hereinafter called 'the Act') and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Section 90C(1) of the Act and those bodies or persons prescribed by the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 (hereinafter called 'the Regulations'), and in accordance with Section 90C(2) of the Act, intends to construct a road hump in the form of a raised plateau at Heol Nant, Llannon.
The intended location of the road hump is adjacent to the local primary school, as more particularly shown on the plan annexed to this Notice.
The road hump will be a raised plateau, which extends across the full width of the carriageway, with the plateau measuring 3000 millimetres (3 metres) in length. The road hump will measure 75 millimetres in height, therefore complying with the tolerances permitted in the Regulations (where a hump will not exceed a height of 100 millimetres).
Full details of the proposal, together with a plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for introducing the vertical measure, may be examined at the offices of the Council’s Customer Service HWB at No.36 Stepney Street, Llanelli SA15 3TR during the usual office hours.
