The County Of Carmarthenshire (B4314 Pendine Leading To Red Roses) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Carmarthenshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the B4314 Pendine, from its junction with the Class III Road leading to Marros on the crossroads for a distance of 1.9km in a north-westerly direction.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.
The Alternative Route for south-west bound traffic will be to proceed in a north-westerly direction from a point north-west of the closure along the B4314 leading to the crossroads at Red Roses. Turn right at the crossroads and continue along the Class III Road leading to Llanddowror to the junction with the A477 St Clears. Turn right on to the A477 to St Clears to the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit on to the A4066 Tenby Road, entering St Clears and continue along Tenby Road to the lights at the crossroads. At the crossroads in St Clears, turn right on to High Street. At the next junction, turn right on to the A4066 leading to Pendine. Continue along the A4066, through the village of Laugharne and Llanmiloe into the village of Pendine. Upon entering the village of Pendine, proceed along Marsh Road, along the seafront and continue up Pendine Hill. Continue along the B4314 out of Pendine for a short while to return to a point south-east of the closure.
The proposed Order will continue in force until cable and jointing work on the fibre network, carried out on behalf of Openreach have been completed.
It is intended that the works will commence on Monday the 17th November 2025, for a period of 12 days.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
