The County Of Carmarthenshire (Public Byway Open To All Traffic (Boat) 57/55 (Part), Cefn Sidan Beach, Pembrey) Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding in a vehicle along the length of BOAT 57/55 (Part) specified in Column 1 of the Schedule to this Notice.
The Order has been made under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 extends the Temporary Emergency Closure imposed on BOAT 57/55 (Part) by virtue of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 26th August 2025. The proposed Order will continue in force for up to 18 months.
The closure has been undertaken because of the likelihood of danger to the public caused by illegal vehicular access onto Cefn Sidan beach from the terminus of the Byway.
Where appropriate, temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless the Welsh Ministers give a direction under Section 15(5) of the 1984 Act to extend the duration of the closure.
