The County Of Carmarthenshire (Public Footpath 51/033, Blaenau Road, Llandybie) Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2026
Reference: SLB/HTRW-924
NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order on the 8th January 2026 the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along that length of Footpath Number 51/033 specified in Column 1 of the Schedule to this Notice in a direction other than that specified in Column 2 of the said Schedule.
The Order has extended the Temporary Emergency Closure imposed on Footpath 51/033 by virtue of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will continue in force for up to 6 months or until works to make safe the bridge have been completed.
Where appropriate, temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding six months unless the Welsh Government give a direction under Section 15(5) of the 1984 Act to extend the duration of the closure.

Public Footpath 51/033
From the beginning of the footpath leading from Blaenau Road, B4556, (OSGR 61461468) in a south westerly direction, turning north along the footpath. Travelling northwest, crossing two bridges, proceeding in a generally westerly direction along the footpath to another bridge. Proceeding northwest to meet public footpath 51/036 (OSGR 60851491).

Alternative Route
From a point on the W6289 Parc Y Llan, (OSGR 61461468) in a generally northern direction, turning west at public footpath 51/62. Proceeding along the footpath for approximately 760 meters, turning south at the junction of public footpath 51/036, continuing along the public footpath (OSGR60851491).
