The County Of Carmarthenshire (Special Events) (Llanelli Front Runner Marathon And 10k Run Event) (Temporary Traffic Management) Order 2026

Reference SLB/HTTR-2013 

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council intend to make an Order to enable the Llanelli Front Runner Half Marathon and 10k run (‘the Event’’) to take place. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from causing or permitting any vehicle including any unauthorised bicycles to proceed along the lengths of roads during the dates and time specified below:

Schedule 1

The entire length of the B4304 (from the Wetlands roundabout to Lower Trostre Road roundabout), Lower Trostre Road (from Lower Trostre Road roundabout to the Trostre roundabout), Trostre Retail Park and Maes-Ar-Ddafen Road will be closed between the hours of 08:30 and 10:00 on Sunday 8th February 2026.

Schedule 2

The entire length of the B4304 (from the Copperhouse Road roundabout to the Sandy Bridge roundabout) will be closed between the hours of 08:30 and 11:00 on Sunday 8th February 2026.

For access to Pentre Awel, please follow the A484 to Church Street.

The Order is necessary to enable the Llanelli Front Runner Half Marathon and 10k run Event to take place.  

The Order will not have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to premises situated on or adjacent to any of the roads to which the order relates or to any premises only accessible to pedestrians from such road. The Order will also contain exemptions for any motor vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes or for statutory undertakers attending an emergency, for motor vehicles used in connection with the event or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.    

The Order comes into effect on Sunday 8th February 2026 and will continue in force for the periods specified above.
