The County Of Carmarthenshire (The C2068 Meinciau (Sa17 5la)) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the C2068 Meinciau  (SA17 5LA) from its junction with the B4309 for a distance of approximately 1.1 kilometres in a general North Easterly direction. 

Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.

The Alternative Route for North  Eastbound diverted traffic is to proceed in a general South Easterly direction along the B4309 to its junction with the C2076.  At the junction turn left onto the C2076 and proceed in a general North Easterly direction to its junction with the B4306 at Garn Ganol.  At the junction turn left onto the B4306 and then  proceed in a general North Westerly direction to its junction with the C2068 at Crwbin.  At the junction turn left onto the C2068 and proceed in a general South Westerly direction to return to a point North East of the closure.  Vice Versa for South West bound diverted traffic.

The proposed Order will continue in force whilst Openreach carry out a rolling road closure for cabling works. 

It is intended that the works commence on Monday16th February 2026 for a period of nine days between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 hours. 

Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
