The County Of Carmarthenshire (The C2163 Cilycwm) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2026
Reference: SLB/HTTR-1994
NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order on the 22nd January 2026 the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the C2163 Cilycwm, from a point 497 metres north east of its junction with the C2157 Llandovery, for a distance of 67 metres in a north easterly direction.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the commencement date for works authorised under the above Order, made on 22nd January 2026 has been revised. The works, originally due to commence on 4th February 2026 will now begin on 27th April 2026
All other provisions, restrictions and measures set out in the Order remain unchanged. The works are required to ensure public safety whilst works are carried out on behalf of Carmarthenshire County Council to repair the slip road and will operate as previously advertised
Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.
The Alternative Route for north east bound traffic from a point south west of the closure, will be to proceed in a south westerly direction along the C2163 Cilycwm, to its junction with the C2157 Llandovery. At the junction, turn right and continue in a north westerly then north easterly direction along the C2157 Llandovery, to its junction with Royal Oak Road. At the junction, turn right and continue in a north easterly direction along Royal Oak Road, to its junction with the C2163 Cilycwm. At the junction, turn right and continue in a south easterly then south westerly direction along the C2163 Cilycwm to return to a point north east of the closure. Vice versa for south west bound traffic
The Order will continue in force whilst works are carried out on behalf of Carmarthenshire County Council to repair the slip road.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
