Working With Schools
Pentre Awel aims to create a lasting legacy for local people, communities and businesses. This has started in earnest during the construction phase as primary and secondary schools within Llanelli have been directly engaged on the project.
- During the pre-construction stage, Bouygues interacted with over 1000 primary and secondary school pupils and delivered over 30 hours of school activities. This included school assemblies, careers talks and a STEM focussed Tetrahedron challenge designed to test and work on problem solving, team work and communication skills
- Around 350 pupils participated in Bouygues’ Believe Academy
- Over 80 pupils from primary and secondary schools have been recruited as Construction Student Ambassadors
Pentre Awel has also facilitated educational, research and engagement projects with local schools.
