Volunteers reach 1000-hour milestone

Our volunteers play a crucial role in the services we deliver. They supplement the work of paid employees, adding value by applying their skills and abilities to tasks that allows us to enhance our service delivery.

Here at Carmarthenshire Archives, we offer a range of opportunities for volunteers to gain an insight into our work and get involved in different tasks and activities such as helping with events and activities or supporting work on access to our collections.

Since the service was reopened to the public in July 2022, our dedicated team of volunteers have contributed over 1000 hours of their time to our service. This valuable contribution has enabled us to make significant progress in making Carmarthenshire archival heritage more accessible to researchers and is a worthy cause for celebration.
