Carmarthenshire County Council invites tourism and hospitality businesses to attend the Summer Tourism and Business Roadshow 2026 a free, in-person event designed to support growth, encourage collaboration, and strengthen the local visitor economy.
With tourism contributing over £500 million annually to Carmarthenshire’s economy, this is a valuable opportunity to connect directly with Council services and expert advisors, all in one place.

Event Time: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Business Breakfast: 8:30am – 9:30am
Workshop 1 - 9.45am – 11.15am
Workshop 2 – 11.30 – 1pm
One-to one sessions – 1.30pm – 4pm
What to Expect
Throughout the day, you’ll have access to free, tailored business support from Council officers and specialist teams across key areas, including:
• Funding opportunities – grants and loans
• Licensing, planning and events support
• Waste legislation and environmental initiatives
• Marketing, campaigns and partnership opportunities
• Recruitment and workforce support (Communities for Work Plus)
The Tourism Team will also be available to discuss:
• Upcoming campaigns and marketing opportunities
• Filming and promotional activity
• Business events and partnerships
• Ways to collaborate and promote your business
You’ll also gain valuable insight into 2026 marketing themes and our continued move towards greater digital integration across tourism and business platforms.
Workshops and Sessions
This year’s programme includes a mix of networking and practical support sessions to help you strengthen your digital presence:
Business Breakfast Networking Session
Start the day with informal networking, featuring guest speaker James Owen (Stori Cymru).
Learn how to use powerful storytelling to elevate your brand and connect with the local economy.
Beyond Posting: Building Better Social Media Engagement
A 90-minute interactive session focused on creating a strategic and manageable approach to social media.
Learn how to:
• Build meaningful engagement
• Increase visibility
• Develop sustainable habits without constant posting
Google Business Profile Workshop
A practical, hands-on session covering how to:
• Optimise your business on Google Search and Maps
• Manage updates effectively
• Build trust through customer reviews
• Improve visibility with simple, actionable steps
One-to-one Support Sessions (Afternoon)
Businesses will have the opportunity to book one-to-one sessions with Council colleagues as well as workshop facilitators Rebecca Callaghan (Purple Dog) and Jordan Wilcox (Ranked & Ready). These sessions will offer tailored advice, business support and opportunities to enhance online presence and marketing effectiveness and will help you make immediate improvements to:
• Your social media performance
• Your Google Business Profile
