The Local Business Support/Trading Spaces project aims to provide specialist support and advice to pre-start, early-stage and existing businesses within Newcastle Emlyn and the surrounding areas. The project will empower entrepreneurs and businesses by enhancing business skills through face-to-face business advice and training at their test trading shop within Newcastle Emlyn High Street. Experienced Business Advisors will provide marketing support and provide business owners/entrepreneurs with practices which are essential to a successful enterprise – understanding income, cost of production, IT and internet selling, sustainability and managing customer expectations with additional training in record-keeping, visual merchandising, the use of Welsh in business and pricing strategies. The support will be delivered through one-to-one advice, workshops, and networking, building on the successes of the previous Community Renewal Fund project.
