Report hazardous / fallen trees
Page updated on: 07/12/2024
Trees, like any living thing, can become ill (through disease or infestations) or be injured (through cracking or physical damage). Most trees will live for a long time and are perfectly healthy with little or no maintenance but others, depending upon their location, may need some attention from time to time.
Please let us know about trees which are dangerous because:
- they are getting in the way of vehicles or pedestrians
- blocking street lighting, road signs or traffic lights
- the tree or part of the tree has fallen or is at risk of falling
To report, the following information would be extremely useful:
- Area Location - street name/address/landmark and use the map to locate or describe where it is exactly
- Tree Location - is the fallen tree or branch in the middle of the road or near/on the kerb and on which side of the road.
- Type/size - if you know the type of tree and can give us an estimate on its size
- Photo - you can take a photo on your smartphone where it is safe to do so and upload it
If a tree is located on your land, you have a duty of care to make sure that your tree(s) are kept in a safe manner.
