The Clean Growth programme will support businesses and third sector organisation across Carmarthenshire enhance their innovation skills and Circular Economy knowledge to help them reduce costs and reduce their carbon footprint. The programme is being delivered by the experienced CEIC Wales team, that have supported 81 organisations reduce their carbon footprint and develop innovation skills over the last two years.
The Clean Growth programme will form the programme for Communities in Practice to help businesses develop innovation skills within collaborative workshops and through site visits, action learning sets and expert support. Each participant will develop a Clean Growth Plan that can help future proof their business and increase profits. Participants will join a ‘Circular Economy ecosystem’ that will enhance their links with stakeholders from industry, academia and the public sector to help them develop new products and services.
The Circular Economy refers to an economic model that aims to reduce the environmental and social impacts of the current ‘take-make-discard’ economy. A fuller understanding of Circular Economy principles will enable businesses to redesign their products and services, decarbonise their operations, and improve the natural environment.
