Greening Carmarthenshire aims to make our county a healthier place to live, work, and play by enhancing the Green and Blue Infrastructure Network found throughout our urban and rural landscapes. It also seeks to promote the use of Nature Based Solutions to help preserve the environment, improve community wellbeing, create better places, and tackle both the Climate and Nature emergencies which Carmarthenshire County Council has previously declared.

By developing upon and assisting the implementation of local policy, the project includes initiatives which will:

- support health and wellbeing, and promote the conservation of biodiversity

- involve local communities in planning and decision making

- embed placemaking and support collaboration between residents, developers, and the Council

- protect and integrate Green and Blue Infrastructure into future residential developments and existing businesses

- encourage the development of the local green economy
