Innovation Net Zero is a project aiming to provide businesses with new opportunities to stimulate growth while contributing to net zero ambitions. Led by Innovation Strategy, the project will provide tailored support, workshops/masterclasses, and one-to-one mentoring to businesses around Carmarthenshire with the development of sustainable solutions a priority. 34 local businesses will be able to receive funded support from the project to work on innovative concepts and review early ideas around sustainability and net zero. In partnership with BT, the project will aim to boost digital connectivity for businesses in the county, especially in rural areas and will explore the opportunities for deploying technology with Carmarthenshire County Council. The businesses will also be able to utilise innovation labs and testing facilities which will support success in development of net zero innovation. The support provided to businesses will translate to job opportunities for local people through the growth of businesses and encourage people in Carmarthenshire to stay and engage with the innovative businesses. The interaction will ideally improve the health and wellbeing of individuals in rural communities and will improve the local environment through Net Zero strategies adopted by public services and businesses.
