Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has recently published new reports about the health of protected marine areas around Carmarthenshire. These areas are known as Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) and Special Protection Areas (SPAs), and they are important for protecting wildlife and natural habitats.
Because of this new information, we will now have to carefully check all planning applications that are yet to be determined in these affected areas.
All new applications, will also be assessed against the new information.
This is a temporary process while we wait for more guidance from NRW.
You can find more information on the NRW website: Natural Resources Wales / Condition assessments for Welsh European marine sites (EMS)
We will provide further updates as soon as they are available.
