Marketing and promotion of the event
Consider Including waste messages in any pre-event publicity e.g. bring your own reusable items. Aim to reduce waste and recycle everything else possible, and call it a waste free event.
To highlight that even small actions can have a big impact, you could include facts like:
- 1 recycled banana peel can produce enough energy to charge 2 smartphones!
- Just one caddy full of food waste can generate enough electricity to power a fridge for 18 hours!
During the event, proactively communicate waste messages through announcements and social media to participants.
