Project Overview
This project included providing St. John Lloyd School with a new science block, extension to the sports hall, changing facilities as well as a major refurbishment of the existing classrooms within the main school block.
As well as the urgent need to provide updated sports facilities at the school, there was a need to provide Hockey facilities in Llanelli and the wider Carmarthenshire area since the Hockey facility at the privately run Coleg Sir Gar was removed. With additional funding of £127,000 from Sports Wales a new 2G ATP was provided during the second phase of the scheme.
Project Cost
The project cost was £3.5m. Funded by Welsh Government through its 21st Century Schools and Colleges Programme and the Local Authority’s Modernising Education Programme.
