The County Of Carmarthenshrie (Special Events) (Llandeilo Classic Car Show 2026) (Temporary Traffic Management) Order 2026

The Carmarthenshire County Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") is the Highway Authority for those lengths of road more particularly referred to in Article 1 below and are designated to be used as the routes for the holding of the Llandeilo Classic Car Show 2026 (‘the Event’). The organisers of the Event wish to prohibit the use of the lengths of road described in Article 1 by vehicles on the 12thJuly, 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 hours in order to facilitate the event.
NOW therefore the Council in pursuance of their powers under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers hereby make the following Order:-
- Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to proceed along the length of:
a) King street, from its junction with the A483 Bridge Street its junction with George Hill for its entire length;
b) Market Street, from its junction with Carmarthen Street to its junction with King Street
Between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 hours on Sunday the 12th day of July 2026.
2. Nothing in Article 1 of this Order will:
a) have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to premises situated on or adjacent toany of the roads to which the Order relates or to any premises only accessible to pedestrians from such road,
b) apply to any motor vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes or the purpose of a statutory undertaker or local authority attending an emergency,
c) apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, and
d) apply to any motor vehicle being used in connection with the Event
This Order shall come into operation on Sunday 12th July 2026 and will continue in force between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 and may be cited as The County of Carmarthenshire (Special Events) (Llandeilo Classic Car Show 2026) (Temporary Traffic Management) Order 2026.
