The County Of Carmarthenshire (Unclassified Road Leading To Pentrecwrt) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Carmarthenshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the Unclassified Road leading to Pentre-Cwrt, approximately 735 metres from its junction with the Unclassified Road leading to the A484 Rhos (commencing after the junction of Ty Maen Farm), for a distance of 2km in a northerly direction. 

Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.

The Alternative Route for north bound traffic from the Unclassified Road leading to the A484 Rhos would be to turn right at the junction on to the Unclassified Road leading to Pentre-Cwrt and continue in a general easterly direction, passing properties known as Pantglas and Triolbrith to the junction with the Class III Road leading to Bancyffordd. Turn left and continue along the Class III Road for a distance of approximately 712 metres in a northerly direction to the junction with the Unclassified Road leading to Pentre-Cwrt. Turn left at the junction and continue along this road, passing proeprties known as Efail Newydd and Waunmeirch to return to a point north of the closure.
Vice versa for south bound traffic. 

The proposed Order will continue in force until works to the overhead cable network, carried out on behalf of Openreach are completed.

It is intended that the works will commence on Monday the 1st of September 2025, until Tuesday the 9th of September 2025.

Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
